Amy's Success Story
In 2009, I turned 21, went on birth control and got married all within a month of each other. Six months later, I had gained 60 pounds without even realizing it. Ever since then, I’ve been on a series of irregular workouts and yo-yo dieting that produced some weight loss, but mostly an unhealthy association with eating and exercise.
In August 2012, I was fed up, and decided to leave the big corporate box gym and the fad dieting behind, and I joined Pirahna. Almost immediately, I found myself engulfed in a community that was supportive, engaging, and dedicated to helping me improve myself. I fell in love with Piloxing, and became a regular up front and center. I transformed into a girl who loved working out and felt encouraged to be healthy in all aspects of my life.
When 2013 rolled around, I decided to do the Whole 30 challenge that Chelsea was doing. I wanted to kick off the year right, and I had wanted to try a whole eating plan for a while. Whole 30 is an amazing challenge, and I highly encourage anyone to try it. The Piranha staff was encouraging and resourceful the entire month. And all the hard work was worth it when I weighed myself at the end of the month. My final weight loss? 15 pounds!
Between that weight loss and my regular workouts, I feel stronger and am more determined than ever to continue my weight loss journey. I’m not where I want to be yet, but I know I soon will be.
