Janna's Success Story

Growing up, I never played school sports or was that athletic. I did ballroom dancing in high school and into college, but that was about it. When I began my career in the real world my life began to grow more inactive. But I continued to live and eat like I was still the busy college student.

Before Piranha, I had NEVER stepped foot into a gym. I was afraid that people would be judgmental. I was afraid they would make fun of me for not knowing how to do things or work out the ‘right’ way. And (I thought) I was downright wimpy.

I was proven wrong.

Piranha Fitness has transformed my life. Ever since I stepped into my first Zumba class in May 2012, I’ve been hooked. It was fun and I didn’t feel like I was working out. I added in Piloxing and started seeing even more results. I had more energy, felt better and was losing weight faster than I thought I could. Soon I was coming at least 5 days a week! I was eating better and watching my portion sizes. I found I had more endurance and could do more than I ever thought. It felt good.

In December 2012 I decided to take the next big step and started Power Training. The instructors are encouraging and make me feel like I belong. Everyone is there to improve themselves and cheer on each other. In only three months of Power Training I’ve lost 7 inches! I’m progressing greatly and learning that to make a change in life, you have to take risks and challenge yourself.

Piranha is what I needed. Since my journey began 9 months ago, I’ve lost over 30 pounds. I now enjoy working out, and feel like every day I’m stronger than the last. I can’t wait to see what the next year brings!
