I joined Piranha in September 2014 as a senior at Texas A&M with a friend. I was at my heaviest weight and I was unmotivated and unhappy with myself. I was always very physically active in high school because I swam and played water polo, but I stopped working out completely when I came to school. I knew that I needed to work out, and every day I would repeat to myself “your diet starts tomorrow”, then eat whatever I wanted thinking that I would improve myself the next day. I constantly looked for a quick fix, and would even go buy all the healthy produce to start a healthy lifestyle and let it waste away in the fridge because I would rather eat a burger and fries.
I realized that I needed to make a serious change in my lifestyle when I compared my pictures from 2014 to pictures of myself when I started out at Texas A&M 3 years earlier. I couldn’t believe how much weight I had actually gained!
I started out making a few sustainable changes to my diet, then jumped into my workouts! I joined TRX and kickboxing at Piranha and left absolutely exhausted, but loved every minute of it. Even though it was hard I kept going and my workouts became a regular part of my routine. I learned to love working out as well as eating healthy. Within the first month I lost ten pounds, and by January 2015 I had lost 30 pounds and went from a size 8-10 to a size 2-4! Eventually in the spring I joined Power Training and fell in love with Piranha all over again. I am able to really see myself progress and the encouragement and support that I receive from the trainers and other clients at Piranha is truly amazing.
Way to go Sarah!
